Homemade Play-Doh recipe

Mix the dry ingredients together in the saucepan before adding the liquids, which have also been mixed together before adding to the dry.

1 C. flour
1/2 C. salt
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 C. water
1 Tbs. cooking oil
fragrance and food coloring

Pour the liquid mixture into the dry and heat, stirring til mashed potato consistency.
Knead immediately. Keeps well in a sealed container.
The fragrance is preferably "oil of wintergreen".
